Position Title: Accounts Officer
Department: Accounting / Finance
Reporting to: Finance Manager / Director
Job Purpose
The Accounts Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, proper allocation of payments, and maintaining organized accounting records. This role supports the finance team in daily operations and compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in bulk payments for One Card and government-related payments.
- Allocate One Card payments to dealers accounts and government payments to both dealers and government accounts.
- Maintain organized filing and archiving of all accounting documents.
- Assist in the retrieval of documents for the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) or other statutory and internal purposes.
- Perform other related accounting and finance duties as assigned to support the department and business operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- ACCA Level 1 qualification required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position.
- Standard office hours, with possible occasional overtime depending on workload.
