In the capacity of Microsoft 365 Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage Microsoft 365 solutions, lead migrations, ensure security and compliance, and provide 3rd-line support, while collaborating with teams and stakeholders to maintain efficient and reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to design tailored Microsoft 365 solutions that align with business goals.
- Implementation & Integration: Deploy and configure Microsoft 365 services, ensuring seamless integration across platforms.
- Administration: Manage user accounts, licenses, permissions, and security settings across M365 environments.
- Migration Projects: Lead migrations from on-premises or other platforms to Microsoft 365 with minimal disruption.
- Security & Compliance: Apply best practices in data protection, security configurations, and compliance policies.
- Collaboration Tools: Set up and manage Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.
- Exchange Online Management: Handle email flow, mailbox management, and anti-spam measures.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Provide 3rd-line support, diagnose issues, and maintain service continuity.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor system performance and proactively improve efficiency.
- Backup & Recovery: Ensure robust data recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Documentation & Training: Create technical documentation and user guides to support adoption.
- Patch Management: Keep systems updated with the latest patches and security updates.
Additional Responsibilities
- Automate routine administrative tasks.
- Stay up to date with Microsoft 365 updates and roadmap developments.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors, including Microsoft.
- Provide guidance to junior team members.
- Own and manage incident and service request tickets.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a Microsoft 365 Engineer or similar role.
- Relevant certifications (preferred):
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and administration.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Experience with cloud migrations and security best practices
