In the capacity of Associate System Engineer, you will maintain and support the IT systems, ensure optimal performance and security, and provide Level 2 technical support while collaborating with teams to implement solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure in accordance with company standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Identify business and technical requirements to define system functionality throughout the service development lifecycle.
- Coordinate testing, validation, and deployment of system designs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, application software, and management tools.
- Ensure optimal system uptime, capacity, and performance across environments.
- Execute and track warranty, patching, and support activities.
- Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements or automation opportunities for enhanced efficiency.
- Provide technical direction and assistance to IT support teams for complex incidents or escalations.
- Deploy and maintain network devices such as firewalls, switches, and access points.
- Oversee the development and integration of customized hardware and software solutions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables and compliance with company policies.
- Provide Level 2 support to the Service Desk and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.
Required Profile and Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), Cisco (CCNA), or CompTIA are a plus.
- Hands-on experience (minimum 2 years) with:
- o Networking: Cisco or Sophos technologies
- o Servers: Windows or Linux environments
- Strong technical background in IT systems and infrastructure management.
- Proficient in Active Directory administration.
- Basic knowledge of Backup solutions and data protection processes.
- Fundamental understanding of Networking concepts (routing, switching, firewalls).
- Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python preferred).
- Experience in system reporting and documentation.
- Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
- Valid driver's license
