Job purpose:
The Flight Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all the food catering items and service is handled professionally, fully, and in a timely manner for all international flights. The individual will fill all the carts with the appropriate food items, assist in loading the carts onto the trucks and planes, and provide exceptional customer service to the flight crew and attendants.
Key duties:
- Ensure all catering activities related to assigned flights (uplift, offload, equipment checks, etc.) are done as per SOP.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of meals and equipment as per flight schedule and galley loading plan.
- Conduct final checks of meal counts, special meals, and equipment before dispatch.
- Record All the Assembly/dispatch and onboard Records in Winrest.
- Liaise with airline representatives, cabin crew, and ground handling staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Supervise loading/unloading teams and ensure proper handling of trolleys, trays, cutlery, and other materials.
- Monitor compliance with hygiene, safety, and security standards at all stages.
- Ensure accurate documentation (loading sheets, special meal lists, delivery notes) is maintained and signed.
- Report any discrepancies, shortages, or incidents immediately to the dutymanager.
- Act as the primary point of contact during flight handling for operational queries.
- Ensure special meal handling procedures are followed strictly.
- Guide and brief staff to ensure efficient workflow and professionalism during flight operations.
- Maintain clear communication with transport, tray setting, and kitchen teams for any last- minute changes.
- Submit daily reports or flight handling summaries to the operations office.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 2-years relevant experience in an airline hospitality industry or any similar role
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Possess a clean certificate of character readily available is a must
- Able to work on shift/roster
- Able to cope with a pressured environment
- Minimum 1-year relevant experience in an airline hospitality industry or any similar role
- Updated Food Handler Certificate
