Job Purpose:
Newrest is looking for Loaders who will help with flight equipment load and unload of food on to the trucks and directly onto the airplane.
Key duties :
- Load and offload catering equipment, meals, and supplies from high-loaders or transport vehicles to aircraft as per flight schedules.
- Ensure timely and accurate loading based on galley plans and airline requirements.
- Secure all items properly in the aircraft galleys to avoid movement during flight as per Safety Protocols.
- Handle equipment with care to avoid breakage, spillage, or damage.
- Follow airside safety regulations and guidelines while operating on the ramp.
- Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers, and cabin crew during loading operations.
- Verify and cross-check loading documents, labels, and quantities.
- Maintain cleanliness of loading vehicles and work areas.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow hygiene protocols at all times.
- Report any damaged or missing equipment/items to the supervisor immediately.
- Follow proper procedures for handling special meals, dry ice, or sensitive equipment.
- Comply with all aviation safety and security standards.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the loading supervisor or management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 1-year relevant experience in an airline hospitality industry or any similar role
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Possess a clean certificate of character readily available is a must
- Able to work on shift/roster
- Able to cope with a pressured environment
- Updated Food Handler Certificate
