Note: The duties outlined are not exhaustive but represent the main areas of responsibility.
Job duties:
- Ensure cleaning material available and in good order;Â inform dealer of any requirements.
- Report all faulty items requiring dealer's attention.
- Conduct regular attendant training.
- Ensure drawing up and compliance of housekeeping schedule.
- Assist dealer with dipping procedure;inform attendants when to top/start pumping fuel in order for shift change to take place.Â
- Dip sticks should be placed at tanks and manholes opened with extinguishers placed to prevent motorists driving into holes.Â
- Open pumps for pump readings to be taken and lock afterwards.
- Motivate driveway staff
- Liaise with Customers and inform dealer of any of their requirements
- Screen possible new appointees and make recommendations to manager
- Sit in on disciplinary meetings/handle disciplinary procedures
- Drain compressor daily and check that it is working to correct pressure. Report any discrepancy to manager immediately
- If no night shift supervisor is appointed, then the supervisor should complete at least one night shift per month
- Ensure placement of rules/regulations and conditions of work in change rooms
- Ensure placement of shift schedules and arrange with staff when changes are necessary
- Supervisor to control pump tags. Request and supervise the logon and off at shift change
- Takes speedpoint shift report at shift change
- Make recommendations to management
- Train staff and candidates from Engen
- Ensure lights are switched on and off on time
- Refuse removal
- Assist forecourt supervisor set-up housekeeping schedule
