About

My name is Francesco Manetti, i am a professional graphic designer&illustrator.
I achieved the degree in Visual Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara, Tuscany, Italy (2010) and the professional qualification certificate in Computer Graphics at the IFOTER professional training center in Livorno, Tuscany, Italy (2005).

As a creative designer I have extensive experience with Adobe software, especially Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Regarding of the illustration, i work with different illustrative techniques, in particular freehand drawing, acrylic painting and digital technique with Photoshop.

I have gained a professional extensive experience in the field of illustration and graphic design.

In the field of editorial illustration, I have gained important experience with leading publishing houses on the national and international scene. I illustrated six picture books. Four of them consists in the "Curious Sameer" series, published by the Indian publishing house Karadi Tales (https://www.karaditales.com). The other two are "I mestieri del teatro" and "Il cavalier Brando", published by the Italian publishing house Sillabe (https://www.sillabe.it/it/).

In the field of creative design, I have worked both for graphic studios and as a freelancer, creating projects of various kinds such as posters, covers and artwork for CDs/DVDs, flyers, brochures, logos and business cards, just to name a few (https: //www.behance.net/francesmanetti).

Parallel with my profile as a graphic designer and illustrator, I also carry on a project as an artistic painter (https:// francescomanetti.tumblr.com), which has led me to find the right dimension in abstract expressionist painting both on a poetic and figurative level. I took part in many exhibitions and in the last year 2022/2023 I collaborated with Duepuntozero gallery in Bergamo (Italy) Studio256 in Vercelli (Italy) and ArtNumber23 in Barcelona (Spain).

I have a strong and natural sense for the search of beauty in the things and in the figurative arts in particular. My vocation has always been that of all-round creativity. It is there where i have rooted all my experiences, both training and professional. Creativity and Art, in their multifaceted forms, from graphics to illustration to painting, are an integral part of my daily life, as well as a source of profound joy and happiness. Combined with the human aspect, made up of availability, listening, closeness and understanding, they are what I feel most inclined to.
