Job Purpose:

Tapas Restaurant is seeking an experienced and skilled Mediterranean Cuisine Cook to join our team in Moka, Mauritius. As a Mediterranean Cuisine Cook, you will play a crucial role in our company by creating delicious and authentic dishes for our clients.

Key duties

Prepare and cook a variety of Mediterranean dishes, including but not limited to, kebabs, falafel, hummus, and shawarma.
Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to company standards and client preferences.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies.
Collaborate with the team to create new and innovative dishes to add to our menu.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to company standards and procedures.
Keep up-to-date with current food trends and incorporate them into our menu offerings.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Mediterranean Cuisine Cook or similar role.
Knowledge of Mediterranean cooking techniques and ingredients.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Food safety and sanitation certification is a plus.
