About the job Sales Advisor
The Sales Advisor at Patel (Opticians) Ltd usually promotes and sells eyewear products and services
to customers. These professionals work in retail stores, medical offices, and online sales. It is
essential that they are knowledgeable about eyewear products, including frames, lenses, and
accessories. Moreover, the Sales Advisor must have strong customer service and communication
skills in order to help customers find the right products for their needs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet customers / patients.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, send appointment reminders and make follow-up calls
- or generate emails.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer and sales service.
- Interpreting the results of eye examinations, using prescriptions written by Optometrists or
- Ophthalmologists.
- Advising customers / patients on frame weights, materials, styles and colors that suit their
- style, face and specifications.
- Recommending lenses, coatings and frames to suit customers / patients needs.
- Taking customer information and measurements of the ocular area to determine suitable
- types and styles of frames.
- Preparing orders for glasses and contact lenses by checking prescriptions, lens thickness
- and other specifications
- Adjusting frames so they fit properly.
- Making sure that orders for glasses and contact lenses have been processed accurately.
- Keeping inventory on frames and contact lenses to ensure product variety and customer
- satisfaction.
- Educating customers on how to wear and maintain glasses and contact lenses.
- Performing administrative duties, such as managing prescriptions, customer records, and
- insurance.
- Any other cognate duties compatible with your post as may be assigned by management.
- Required Skills/Abilities:
- Solid understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.

- Basic administration skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to handle other department tasks and duties as and when necessary.
Education and Experience:
- HSC or GCE A Level qualification or equivalent
- At least 1-2 years related working experience.
