Job Description: Canteen Kitchen Attendants
Position Overview:
As a Canteen Kitchen Attendant, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation and service in the canteen. Your main objective is to contribute to the timely and efficient provision of meals for guests and staff. This hands-on role requires a keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation:
- Assist in preparing and cooking food items according to standardized recipes and portion sizes.
- Ensure that food is prepared and cooked to the highest quality standards.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations and guidelines.
2. Service and Presentation:
- Assist in setting up and maintaining a clean and organized serving area.
- Serve meals to guests and staff in a friendly and customer-focused manner.
- Ensure that food presentation meets established standards.
3. Stock and Supply Management:
- Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of ingredients and supplies required for food preparation and service.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating stock items to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Notify the supervisor of any stock shortages or issues promptly.
4. Cleaning and Sanitation:
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment by regularly cleaning equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Follow cleaning and sanitation procedures as outlined by the company.
- Assist with dishwashing duties as needed.
5. Customer Service:
- Provide friendly and efficient service to guests and staff, addressing any concerns or inquiries in a professional manner.
- Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the canteen.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a food service role, preferably in a canteen or cafeteria setting.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety guidelines.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
