Job Description: Kitchen Attendant
Summary: The Kitchen Attendant plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen team by assisting with ingredient preparation, dishwashing, and maintaining cleanliness. This position is essential for the smooth functioning of the kitchen and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with ingredient preparation:
- Prepare vegetables, meats, and other ingredients as directed by the kitchen staff.

- Clean dishes, utensils, and other kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods and tools.

- Retrieve and restock clean dishes and utensils as needed during service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization:
- Sweep, mop, and scrub kitchen floors to maintain a clean and sanitary working environment.
- Wipe down countertops, kitchen equipment, and other surfaces to remove dirt, grime, and food residue.
- Empty trash bins regularly and ensure proper disposal of waste in accordance with sanitation guidelines.
- Keep storage areas organized and maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Assist with basic kitchen tasks:
- Support the kitchen staff in preparing simple dishes, such as salads, soups, and dressings.
- Set up and restock food stations, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked throughout the shift.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and storage practices are followed.
