Job Description: Casual Maid & Valet
Position Summary: A casual maid & valet plays a crucial role in ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for guests by providing exceptional housekeeping services. This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, ensuring they are well-stocked, and assisting guests with their needs.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Clean guest rooms, including making beds, vacuuming, dusting, and mopping.
- Ensure all surfaces, fixtures, and amenities are properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Restock supplies, such as toiletries, towels, and linens, in guest rooms.
- Report any maintenance issues or damage to the appropriate department.
- Guest Assistance:
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide guests with information and assistance regarding hotel facilities and services.
- Address guest concerns or requests promptly and with a high level of customer service.
- Assist guests with their luggage, including carrying and storing it as required.
- Team Collaboration:
- Coordinate with other housekeeping staff to ensure efficient cleaning routines.
- Collaborate with the front desk and other departments to meet guest needs.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on cleaning procedures and standards.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety and security procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Adhere to hotel policies and procedures, ensuring compliance at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold guest privacy.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in cleaning and housekeeping is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb stairs, and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and the use of cleaning equipment.
- Understanding of safety protocols and the ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely.
- Flexibility in working hours, as the role may require working shifts, weekends, and holidays.
