Job Description: Head Porter/Driver
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Head Porter/Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent transportation services to our clients while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in English and/or French, with additional language proficiency being a plus. Prior experience in the same field, particularly in the tourism sector, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport clients to and from various destinations in a timely manner
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- Assist clients with luggage handling, ensuring their convenience and safety
- Familiarize yourself with planned routes and destinations to ensure efficient and accurate transportation
- Maintain cleanliness and condition of the vehicle, including regular inspection and maintenance checks
- Handle potential customer queries, concerns, and complaints, referring them to appropriate channels if necessary
- Ensure adherence to all traffic laws and regulations
- Assist with loading and unloading of luggage, ensuring proper handling and care
- Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle malfunctions to the appropriate authorities
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (SC/HSC)
- Possession of a valid and clean driving license
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and/or French; additional language proficiency is a plus
- Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the tourism sector
- Strong knowledge of local roads and routes
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse clients
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues
- Good physical stamina and ability to handle manual tasks, such as lifting and carrying luggage
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, based on business needs
