Job Description: Store Attendant
We are seeking a reliable and organized Store Attendant to join our team. As a Store Attendant, you will play a crucial role in managing inventory, handling stock, and assisting with procurement processes. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure are essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our store.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure products are readily available for customers
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming stock, ensuring accurate labeling and placement
- Conduct routine stock checks to identify discrepancies and take necessary corrective actions
- Assist with procurement by contacting suppliers, obtaining quotes, and placing orders
- Coordinate with team members to ensure timely delivery and proper storage of stock
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify fast-moving products and optimize stock levels accordingly
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide recommendations on products
- Operate basic computer systems to record sales, track inventory, and manage customer information
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including shelves, displays, and storage areas
- Follow established health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with inventory management software and point-of-sale systems
- Proficiency in English and French is necessary to effectively communicate with both colleagues and customers
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, as required
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
