Job Title: Casual Spa Receptionist
Job Purpose: The casual spa receptionist plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the spa. This role involves assisting guests with spa services, managing appointment scheduling, handling inquiries, and contributing to the overall positive guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests to the spa in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle inquiries from guests regarding spa services, packages, and availability
- Efficiently schedule and confirm spa appointments using specialized software
- Promote and upsell spa services, packages, and retail products to guests when appropriate
- Maintain a well-organized front desk area, ensuring that it is clean and presentable at all times
- Monitor and coordinate the flow of guests, ensuring timely service delivery
- Collect payments from guests and handle any billing-related inquiries
- Maintain accurate records of guest bookings, special requests, and preferences
- Assist in resolving any guest complaints or concerns, escalating to the Spa Manager when necessary
- Collaborate with other spa staff to ensure a seamless and enjoyable guest experience
- Stay up to date on spa services, promotions, and any changes in operational procedures
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, as well as spa policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Prior experience in a customer service role, preferably in a spa or hospitality environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with guests
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage appointment scheduling and handle guest inquiries simultaneously
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in using spa management software and standard office applications
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording guest information and transactions
- Positive and professional demeanor with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of spa services, treatments, and products is a plus
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
