Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Public Area Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess excellent cleaning skills and be fluent in both English and French. This position requires a minimum Form 4 education and at least 3 to 6 months of relevant experience in the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks in all public areas of the facility, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and outdoor spaces.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
- Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors and surfaces as required.
- Empty and clean waste receptacles on a regular basis.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
- Maintain and restock cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, and other equipment for events and functions.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Provide professional and friendly service to guests and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
- Minimum Form 4 education or equivalent.
- Proven experience in public area cleaning, preferably in a hotel or similar environment.
- Knowledge of various cleaning techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and additional shifts as needed.
