Job Description: Senior Head Waiter
Position Overview: As a Senior Head Waiter, you will play a vital role in leading the waitstaff, coordinating service activities, and taking charge of billing and cashiering processes. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage a team will be essential in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for our patrons. This role requires previous experience as a head waiter and proficiency in both English and French languages.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the waitstaff team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
- Coordinate and manage the order-taking, food service, and overall customer experience
- Ensure that all tables are set up correctly and strive to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation in the dining area
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to maintain a seamless flow of food and drinks to the tables
- Address and resolve customer concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Handle billing and cashiering responsibilities, including accurately recording transactions, handling cash, and processing payment systems
- Maintain knowledge of the menu items, specials, and beverage offerings, and be able to make recommendations to customers
- Assist in scheduling and monitoring staff performance, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards
- Uphold and enforce health and safety regulations to provide a safe and hygienic dining environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a head waiter, demonstrating leadership abilities and the capacity to handle a fast-paced, high-volume dining establishment
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, and management
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring consistent quality and service standards
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in English and French languages, both spoken and written
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
