Job Description: Head Cook
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Cook to oversee kitchen operations, create menus, and lead the kitchen team in food preparation. This key role requires strong culinary skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to manage a kitchen efficiently. The successful candidate should have prior experience as a head cook and possess proficiency in both English and French languages. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Create and design menus that showcase creativity and cater to different dietary preferences

- Train new kitchen staff members and facilitate ongoing training and development for the team

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following sanitation regulations and guidelines

- Remain up-to-date with industry trends and new culinary techniques, implementing innovative ideas when appropriate
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Head Cook or in a similar culinary leadership role
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for food and creativity
- Extensive knowledge of different cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively lead and motivate the kitchen team
- Proficiency in English and French languages is essential
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations, and ability to ensure compliance
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to handle and resolve conflicts
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
