Job Description: Senior F & B Steward Supervisor
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior F & B Steward Supervisor to manage our stewarding team and ensure the smooth operation of the dishwashing, sanitation, and equipment maintenance processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This position requires previous stewarding experience along with proficiency in English and French.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and supervise the stewarding team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure efficient operations
- Establish and enforce hygiene and sanitation standards to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing and equipment storage area
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, and coordinate with purchasing department for restocking
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes and utensils as per operational demands
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper maintenance and functionality of equipment
- Train new staff members on proper dishwashing techniques, sanitation practices, and equipment handling procedures
- Evaluate the performance of the stewarding team and provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Participate in staff scheduling, ensuring appropriate coverage during peak operational hours
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to cleanliness and sanitation, promptly resolving any issues
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to recommend improvements in stewarding operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a stewarding or supervisory role within the F & B industry
- Proficiency in English and French, both written and verbal
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Knowledge of sanitation, health, and safety regulations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
