Position Overview: We are currently seeking a friendly and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Casual Receptionist. In this role, you will be responsible for handling front desk tasks, assisting with guest check-in and check-out procedures, and providing information to guests. As a Casual Receptionist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring guest satisfaction and contributing to the smooth operations of our hotel.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a warm and welcoming presence at the front desk, ensuring all guests receive exceptional customer service.
- Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
- Answer phone inquiries, redirect calls, and take messages when necessary.
- Address guest requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Provide information and answer inquiries about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Maintain tidy and organized front desk area, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
- Process payments and handle financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including photocopying, filing, and data entry as required.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure guest needs are met in a timely manner.
- Follow hotel policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality and security of guest information.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Proven customer service experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with hotel management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations with composure.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
