Job Purpose:
To manufacture, assemble, and finish high-quality wooden furniture including beds, wardrobes, doors, cabinets, and custom furniture for residential, office, and hotel projects, ensuring precision, durability, and excellent workmanship.
Key duties :
- Manufacture wooden furniture such as beds, wardrobes, doors, cabinets, tables, and office furniture.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
- Cut, shape, assemble, and finish wood components
- Install fittings, hinges, locks, and handles
- Perform sanding, polishing, and finishing work
- Repair and refurbish wooden furniture when required
- Maintain tools and workshop equipment in good condition
- Ensure quality control and adherence to production standards
- Follow safety procedures and workshop rules
- Meet production deadlines and project requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid driving licence
- Certificate of character
- Proven experience as a carpenter (minimum 3–5 years preferred)
- Experience in manufacturing home, office, and hotel furniture
- Good knowledge of woodworking tools and machinery
- Ability to read drawings and measurements accurately
- Strong attention to detail and quality finishing
- Physically fit and able to handle workshop duties
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and disciplined
- Knowledge of safety practices in a workshop environment
