Motravay Recruitment Services is looking for one of its clients in the transportations industry  Customer Service Agents in Shipping Industry

 

  1. Main Objectives of this position:

 

 

Attending customer request and processing the booking by retrieving rates, analyzing inventory level and FPLE as per preferred routing for quality and timely service.

 

 

  1. Function and duties:

 

 

Main Tasks

 

To liaise with all Customers and to ensure everything is in place

 Passing information proactively to customers

 Create standard and special shipments incl. rate retrieval

 Receive, evaluate and administer update requests from Customers

 Attend to customers requirements from booking request until departure of vessel

 Forward FPLE to transshipment port after vessel departure

 Co-ordinate with Sales and Sales support for pending/missing RA.

 Communicate with Customers in case of exception handling of Shipments

 Advise transshipment status to customer, if requested

 Update customers on schedule/cut-off changes

 send short shipment notices to customers.

 Liaise with ED for container placement and container linkages

 Liaise with Operations and Sales

 Check DG acceptance. In case of cargo denials from Hazmat desk contact customer for further details.

Update DG details until cargo is accepted confirm booking, create and send booking confirmation

 Clean up system after vessel departure i.e. tallying bookings on FIS with the port onboard report.

 

 

  1. Qualifications and Technical Job Requirements:

 

 

Industry Knowledge

 

 Graduate or with 5 years industry experience in transportation industry

 Expert knowledge of Documentation required

 Extensive background in handling customer documentation required  Commitment to deliver excellence in documentation

 Attention to detail

 Management experience required Business Systems/IT

 Expert knowledge of user application systems (FIS, MS Office, Word, Excel)

 Expert knowledge of user application systems (FIS, COMPASS (if applicable)

 Process knowledge & systems support optimization

 Ability to promptly process data and request under pressure

 Management of data quality benchmarking and KPI management.
