We are looking for one of our clients a Credit Control Manager
YOUR ROLE:
• Monitor the credit granting process and account creation
• Provide first assessment of new credit applications
• Verify and document credit worthiness for submission to credit committee
• Provide analysis of risky customers to the Management and Sales team
• Communicate with Sales team for overdue portfolios
• Verify allocation and matching undertaken before producing of customer statement of account
• Liaise with the Commercial Manager for monthly sales volume of sales team
• Follow up of receivables, cash flow position and authorize interco payment releases
• Manage customers’ portfolio for both Cement and Concrete activities
• Communicate with customers and ensure in and out meetings to manage relations
• Negotiate payment plans and pressurize quick payments from customers
• Evaluate level of default, degree of customer relationship and segmentation for issue of letters
• Authenticate customer claims and issues through internal investigation
• Proceed with customer arrangement and issue of credit notes when required
• Treat with the Company’s Attorney of all legal aspects for delinquent cases
• Represent the company in Court presentations; verification and signature of Affidavits etc.
• Prepare and chair a monthly Credit Committee for each activity
• Prepare and circulate the Credit Committee minutes
• Monitor the accounts of subcontractors
• Treat loans and advances requests from subcontractors
• Be the Risk Lead by planning, assessing and managing all business risks and opportunities
• Develop a check list Risk Management model
YOUR PROFILE:
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar environment
• ACCA qualified
• Diploma in Debtors Management/ Debt Collection Management or equivalent
• Experience in managing a team
• Computer literate with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office pack
• Accounting and Financial background
• Time and priority management
• Flexible and willing to work odd hours
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Business and Budget oriented
• Ability to work in team as well as individually
• Detail focused
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Proactive and challenging attitude
• Good organisation and planning skills
