Position Overview:
As an HSE Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our teams working on photovoltaic projects and renewable energy installations.
You will assist in the implementation of site HSE management protocols, promoting a culture of safety and compliance across all project sites. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of impactful renewable energy projects while gaining valuable experience in HSE management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the HSE Manager in the implementation and enforcement of safety policies, procedures, and guidelines on project sites.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards.
- Assist in the development and delivery of HSE training programs for site personnel, emphasizing best practices and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with project teams to investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of HSE-related documentation, including incident reports, inspection logs, and training records.
- Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks, facilitating discussions on relevant HSE topics and initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks in HSE management for renewable energy projects.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in the renewable energy or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of HSE principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and HSE management software is an asset.
